Cookie policy

English translation provided for information. In the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Here we tell you which ones we use, who they belong to, what they are for and how long they last.

Necessary: always used

They are essential for the website to work and are exempt from consent. They are not used to identify you or to analyse your behaviour.

  • Customer session (sb-…-auth-token) — first-party, technical. Only created if you sign in to the customer area: it keeps your session open. It lasts while the session is open and is deleted when you sign out.
  • Cookie preference (macolorcar.cookies) — first-party, technical. Stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics and when, so we do not ask you again. It is kept in your own browser, is not sent to any server and expires after 12 months, when we ask again.
  • Order list (macolorcar.pedido) — first-party, technical. Stores the products you add to your list to request a quote. It is kept in your browser, is not sent to any server and is deleted when you empty the list or clear your browser data.

The last two are not cookies in the strict sense but browser local storage. The rules treat them the same, which is why they are listed here.

Analytics: only if you accept

If you give your consent we load Google Analytics 4, from Google Ireland Ltd., to learn which pages are visited and how many people come. We use it to improve the catalogue, not to identify you or show you advertising: the site has no ads and we tell Google so.

  • Owner: Google Ireland Ltd. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Cookies: _ga (distinguishes visitors, 2 years) and _ga_* (keeps the session state, 2 years).
  • Purpose: to measure the audience in aggregate.
  • More information: Google’s cookie policy.

If you do not accept them, they are not loaded. Google’s script is not even downloaded until you press “Accept”, and rejecting takes the same single click as accepting.

Third-party content without cookies

On the contact page we show an OpenStreetMap map. It does not set cookies, but to download the map your browser sends your IP address to the OpenStreetMap Foundation’s servers, as with any image hosted outside this website.

How to change your decision

You can change your mind whenever you like, with no explanation and a single click:

You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Bear in mind that blocking them all affects how any website works, not just this one.
